The 3rd 01SJ Biennial will take place September 16-19, 2010 in San Jose, CA. The theme of the Biennial is Build Your Own World. The 01SJ Biennial is an increasing recognized international event and a premiere multidisciplinary arts festival in North America. As such, 01SJ represents a unique opportunity to present the groundbreaking work of local and international artists and to provide access to innovative, world-class art for a broad and diverse California audience.
The Green Prix will be an innovative venue for artists to produce and showcase projects that not only celebrate but challenge sustainable locomotion to reach new limits. It manifests through an “eco-motion” parade, public workshop, family oriented green activities, and a music program. Sustainable transportation is not only about being “green”, but also challenging the norm of how we move about and travel. ZER01 is inviting artists and artist teams to apply for a micro-grant towards the creation of an eco-themed project that will take part in the Green Prix parade, Saturday September 18th. Artists are challenged to imagine not just what is next, but work to ensure what’s next matters.
ZER01 is soliciting proposals from artists and artist teams to participate in the Green Prix parade during the 2010 San Jose Biennial.
Micro-grants are available up to $500. The grant can be applied towards project materials, production, travel, etc.
The Green Prix Micro-Grants have now been extended to artists and artist teams outside of California.
