Jeff is the founder and principal of the San Francisco office of Factor Design, a European-based strategic design consultancy. The firm is a collection of designers, writers, and strategists who collaborate with business and cultural leaders who understand that in today’s commodity-driven economy, great design can be an organization’s most strategic and defensible advantage.
Since founding the San Francisco office in 1996, Jeff has lead successful project teams and delivered award-winning work for organizations such as Apple, Coca-Cola, Gap, GE, Hewlett-Packard, L.L. Bean, Nike, Stanford University, and the Walt Disney Company.
In 2003, Jeff was among a select group of senior-level design professionals invited to work with top faculty at Harvard Business School in the first-ever AIGA Business Perspectives for Design Leaders program. He has received numerous national and international awards from the Type Directors Club, American Center for Design, Graphis, Communication Arts, Print, Red Dot, International Forum Design Hannover, and How among others. In 2007, he was nominated for a National Design Award by the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution.
