Public Art Producer
Part-Time* $15,000 stipend

We are looking for a smart, motivated, and experienced Arts Professional to join the 2012 ZERO1 Biennial team as the Public Art Producer, responsible for a series of artworks being installed in San Jose, CA in conjunction with Seeking Silicon Valley, the 2012 ZERO1 Biennial. The position reports to ZERO1’s Curator and Director of Programs, and is based in downtown San Jose, CA, with some flexibility to working remotely. 
*This position is part-time, but please note, in August production needs will increase with full-time on site required from August 15th- September 20th.

Programming Coordinator
Part-Time $5,000 stipend

ZERO1 is seeking a California-based Programming Coordinator to assist the Curator and Director of Programs and Curatorial Assistant in tasks related to the curating, programming and production of the 2012 ZERO1 Biennial, with a particular focus on the Biennial publication, printed materials, and coordination of the Biennial Artist Talk series. Must be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours of work through June and July, and should expect to work fulltime from August 15-Septemer 21 during core the ZERO1 Biennial production time period. Position funded by The James Irvine Foundation.

Each internship is a unique and exciting experience that we tailor to not only fit our needs but yours too. During the ZERO1 Biennial you are in the in-crowd and invited to special vip parties, access to the many art exhibitions around the bay area and are in-the-know one what is happening at the festival all the time.

4. You get to learn and see a whole lot of cool art
We have over 100 artists in the ZERO1 Biennial stretched across the entire Bay Area. This is a hand on art history education. Learn about how to contextualize and categorize art as well as new forms of art practice.
6. On the job training
ZERO1 believes in on the job training. We bring in some of the most highly motivated interns to take on projects that you can apply to real world. You can learn about curatorial writing, app development, building big installations and marketing. Our staff is committed to brining our interns on board and to give real projects that you can own.
7. ZERO1's interns wind up in cool places
Several of ZERO1 interns have been either hired by ZERO1 or have moved onto be curators, UI designers, went onto graduate schools around the world and have taken away a valuable experience to their professional development.

What is the art ambassador program?
Work with up to 5 art ambassadors from around the country who will participate in an intensive 3 month program learning about the biennial artists, programs, footprint and social platforms in order to serve as the social face during the main dates of the event. We are looking for people who can use Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, video editors, geo-caches, game players, digital photographers, bloggers, people who love new media and contemporary art.
