As a child I spent my free time on my dad’s old computer exploring virtual worlds, climbing trees to scope out neighborhood ninjas, and taking apart VCRs in an attempt to reconstruct it as a teleportation device. Now, as an adult, I spend my free time on my own laptop exploring MMOs, climbing rooftops with my friends pretending I am a ninja, and taking apart DVD players in an attempt to reconstruct it as a time machine. Little have I grown up as the only thing growing is my imagination. Being undergraduate in San Jose State University’s Digital Media Arts program, I explore and traverse this imagination of mine through digital media.
Aside from that, I love Lost, 24, making longboards, comics, podcasts, those twisty wire things that come with cables, tweeting, my iPhone, my mom’s famous tapioca desert, playing guitar, G-2 Pilot pens, camping with friends, my beautiful car, garage sales, accidentally mismatching my socks but pretending I did it on purpose, talking in an Italian accent, Call of Duty, messenger bags, chocolate milk from Whole Foods, chocolate ice cream, milk chocolate Ghiradeli bars, and videos of cute puppies falling asleep.
Here at ZER01, I work with social media tools and sites to build a community and awareness of the upcoming 2010 01SJ Biennial. I collaborate alongside the Guerrilla Marketing team to generate buzz and assist the Social Media Manager in the development of various tools and resources crucial for the navigation and understanding of the Biennial.
