Amazing Race meets Dirty Jobs

Have you always wanted to be the next Reality TV Star? The creators of Discovery Channel’s Cash Cab, the hit PBS series History Detectives, and SWAT USA on Court TV (now Tru TV) are looking for some new TV stars within the science, arts, and engineering fields. The are now casting hosts and the contestants for a new American ingenuity TV show.

Both roles will be intergenerational “friendly rivals” – two people who not only know one another well, but who share a sense of competition and often disagree over the best approach to problem solving. Old School Vs New School. This team of two will compete against others, from various industries, on an amazing American adventure, with the chance to win some serious prizes. (Think Amazing Race meets Dirty Jobs.)  If you are or know anyone who may be a good fit, for either of these roles, check out their casting call  http://www.liontv.com/Usa/About/Casting-Calls. Could be interesting.....

Bill Owen's at Luca Digital Photo Fest

Claudia Zanfi the founder of aMAZElab, a non-profit cultural lab which works for the diffusion and knowledge of contemporary cultures, recently visited the the Silicon Valley to work with San Jose born Bill Owens and his archives. She is also the curator of Bill Owens’ Archive Milan, Italy. During her visit, we had the opportunity to meet her and hear about all the wonderful projects going on at aMAZElab and with her work with Owens. She just finished editing Owen's recent exhibition in Italy.

For the first time on show, a selection of the vintage color prints from Owens Suburbia (1971) images will be on display at the Luca Digital Photo Fest. It is a visual report of the social revolution that took place in the ‘70s, when middle class America started moving in huge numbers from the busy city centers to the suburbs. The project shows what is going on behind the American dream.

If you are in Italy, this is a show not to be missed.
