Congratulations San Jose Public Art

The annual American for the Arts Conference is going on in San Diego as we speak and the San Jose Office of Cultural Affairs Public Art Program was just named America's "Public Art Program of the Year!" ZER01 wants to congratulate Barbara Goldstein, Mary Rubin and the entire Public Art Program. They have worked really hard and done amazing work around San Jose and at the San Jose International Airport. This is a great honor for them and truly deserved.

We also want to congratulation 01SJ artist Jed Berk and Public Art Program manager Patricia Walsh for receiving a Public Art Network Year in Review recognition for "Champion Flock of Weed Eaters." A fantastic project that took place last year during the 01SJ Biennial.

Congratulations!!!

ZER01 invades artMRKT 2011

Dress Tents

dress tents at artMRKT photo by DeWitt Cheng

When ZER01 got word of the opportunity to participate in the prestigious contemporary artMRKT San Francisco we knew we had to give it a bit of ZER01 flavor. Entering the market were two giant interactive dress tents providing both a spectacle and curiosity into the exhibition. According to artists Robin Lasser and Adrienne Pao the “Dress Tents are fusion of architecture, the body and the land played out through living sculpture, moving images and still photography.”
