The On Line Festival for Digital Arts (FONLAD) is an event focused on the Internet in the format of a publication / web gallery of art projects in the areas of photography, digital art, web art, animation and video. Since its first edition the festival is complemented by exhibitions of international scope: Madrid (1st edition), Coimbra – Portugal (2nd edition), Montemor-o-Velho – Portugal (3rd edition), Bienal da Madeira – Funchal, Portugal (4th edition), Belforte del Chienti – Italy (collection), Guarda – Portugal (5th edition), Coimbra and Montemor-o-Velho – Portugal (6th edition), Cologne – Germany and Honduras.
Throughout its 6th editions the festival was attended by about 250 artists, including some names of international relevance, such as Annie Abrahams, Agricola de Cologne, Caterina Davinio or Jody Zellen.
This year, in partnership with the Porto Santo’s Biennial, is presented in Coimbra, at Galeria Ícone / Ícon Gallery, “Virtual Humanities,” an exhibition of photography and digital painting.
Montemor-o-Velho, 30 min video presents a selection of the best works of the festivals of Herning (Denmark), Cologne Off (Germany), Rec-On (Honduras), Fonlad (Portugal) and Videolab (Portugal).
Montemor-o-Velho is also host a workshop on video editing directed by Videolab between 22 and 30 of May.
Coimbra also receives video art shows, at Galeria Ícone / Ícon Gallery (28, 29 May and 3 of July), in partnership with the Porto Santo’s Biennial.
Finaly, the Unknown Artist Virtual Museum presents Cyber Human Forms, a Web art show between October 7 and December 26, 2010.
