Valley Of Color Is A Joint Multimedia Work By Artist Raghad And Mary During Participation In The Exhibition "Uncertainty Of Rain" By Creative Impact Lab Amman facilitated By Artist Isabel Beavers And Created In IDare C-Hub using digital fabrication skills, design, video, and projection mapping to express the biggest problem facing Jordan: water pollution.

Through the workshop moderated by Aline Bussman, co-director at Cewas Middle East, on the issue of water In Jordan And challenges, our team focused on the causes and effects of water pollution.

During a field visit to the l Mujib Valley, an important river in Jordan that is considered a nature reserve and an important source of water, the sculptural piece was designed as a "waterway" inspired by al Mujib Valley. The model Is designed and fabricated using MDF board and the Cnc Laser Cutter at IDare’s C-Hub.

After research on the issue of water pollution in Jordan, we wanted to devise a technical way to express the concept of pollution, which is any physical or chemical change or introduction of a new element in a water compound.
We mixed colors in water using medical syringes and acrylic colors to form a solution that would display the change in the properties of water when a foreign element enters. We made four videos in red, yellow, blue and green.

Blue: Factory Waste
Green: Agricultural Waste
Red: Chemical And Metal Residues
Yellow: Sewage
Orange: Diseases, Viruses And Bacteria
Purple: Oil And Its Derivatives

We then added sound effects like the calm sound of running water. This represents the sounds of water in the Mujib Valley. The sound of water drops and music suggests danger and mystery, giving a sense of danger and urgency to the video.

In the second part of the work, the video is shown in reverse and the colors begin to recede from the water. We hope this makes the viewer feel the importance of protecting the water source from pollution.
